The Wannabe Wolves and the Real Wolves

With all that our former President DT, is facing with indictments and future indictments. I would think his best legal strategy would be to keep his mouth shut. To withdraw from public view and any future political candidacy, until all indictments and future indictments are settled in court, regardless of their outcome for him. If the cards play in his favor, it will benefit him greatly to step back into politics. If the cards are not in his favor, it would in most cases save him further disgraces and harm if he had remained silent from his outspoken verbiage of it being a witch hunt. The fact he refuses to take these indictments as serious and remain silent against his opponents, DOJ and adversaries and have his defense be respectful and without such constant counterclaims in public. He may have a better standing in the legal procedures and decorum of such legal procedures. Instead, he insists on playing the fool, the jester in the public court of opinion, boldly crossing that line of no return with his constant outrage and misinterpretation of the facts surrounding these litigations. The fact he borders on facing further gag order or breaking current gag orders that would silence him against making and taking assault on witnesses, DOJ, and others, he is only proving the legal system has a better standing against him. One would question his legal teams competency in not advising him to keep his mouth shut, publicly and privately. Public opinion may be divided on their own opinion, is he guilty or victim of a witch hunt. It is much akin to the fable about the boy who cried wolf one to many times. He has his supporters believing there are wolves (witches) in every corner of our democracy. We know the outcome of the boy who cried wolf to many times. He was devoured by the real wolf, and nobody came to his rescue. The path he is travelling down now can only be seen as foolish bravado, arrogance, and downright insane. One would think he would take the fifth in court or at least plead guilty by reason of insanity, retire in obscurity and let democracy heal. That path leads to a complete dismantle of Democracy and the justice system if that former president should be exonerated and returns to the oval office. If he is convicted on the more serious indictments, it is a ‘Catch 22’, the dismantling of our Democracy and justice system by his supporters. One can only hope whatever the outcome, Democracy survives. There are too many wannabe wolves and real wolves out there, and the sheep are being devoured daily, and no shepherd to protect the flock. One bad shepherd was one to many as it was.
